Human resources are a key resource that any business venture, including start-ups and growing firms, has. However, nascent entrepreneurs usually lack experience and resources to implement HR practices. This training fiche will introduce the most important and relevant HR management activities for start-ups and new ventures in idea/intention, start-up and early-growth phases. It will discuss how to implement these activities into everyday life of a new venture. Particularly, it will provide insights on appropriate hiring techniques, motivation, leadership and building an organizational culture.
